Located in the northwest of Hubei, on the middle reaches of the Han River, Xiangfan covers an area of about 20,000 square kms, with a population of 5.8million. It is the second largest city in hubei province. Xiangfan has two big parts---the beautiful historic city of Xiangyang and the ancient Fancheng wharf---which stand on the southern and northern sides of the river respectively.
